– Shortly before our conversation, you announced on social networks that you started to voice the audiobook Captain’s Daughter. How did you find this experience?

– Literally half an hour ago I left the studio after recording an audiobook. I didn’t expect this to be such a parallel world that it would be so difficult. It turned out to be more difficult, although my profession is related to speech. There Pushkin spun such phrases, phrases and complex words that, in principle, I sweated.

— Are you prepared for the recording? Speech warm-up, rehearsal?

– No, I was not prepared in any way – I woke up, had coffee and went to read a book. However, I realize now that maybe next time I’ll wake up and do some kind of warm-up.

– Do you do a speaking warm-up before filming and acting in the theatre?

— No, it looks like a funny corporate relic. When I graduated from the institute and came to the theater, I trained before going on stage, and my colleagues looked at me out of the corner of their eyes and said, “Yes, he is still green, student.” Before the shift, I just try to wake up and recover.

– You played the artist Mark in “Alfa Romeo”. Was it necessary to seriously prepare for this role in order to learn artistic skills?

– Of course, we had a lot of auditions and script readings. We have carefully prepared to understand who we are playing and what we want to convey. Directly on set, there was an art consultant who helped me not look like a layman as an artist: He explained how to hold the brush correctly.

— Does Mark draw in the frame?

— We have a little trick: we do not show how my character draws directly in the frame. The magic of cinema makes it possible to believe that this person who cannot draw is great at drawing.

Your character looks charming in the trailer. What is his character?

Internally, Mark is strong enough to argue with his father and set personal boundaries. This requires a strong character and Mark has it too. It is, however, a very ugly, overgrown juvenile in greenhouse conditions. I think it’s hard for him to show this character, but he’s learning to do it in our drama.

How would you describe your attitude towards feminism? Do you think activists who take bold actions with nudity and other unconventional means to get attention go too far?

To be honest, I’m afraid to talk about it. Maybe if I speak positively they will say that I am not knowledgeable enough about feminism. If I say I am against it, they will eat me too. But I am basically a tolerant person. Let people be happy to do what they want. The main thing is that it does not have a bad influence on others. I’m probably more positive about feminism than negative, the main thing is balance. Healthy feminism is good.

– If you were to summarize the period when Alfa Romeo was filmed in your memory, what story would come to your mind?

– I especially remember the shooting of the pilot episode, which entered the series almost unchanged. We went to a far place, traveled for hours, waited for a long time to enter the frame. Sunset came, followed by deep evening, and the group and I started chatting very cool. A circle of 10-15 people gathered, we stood and talked for a few hours on the street on a hot summer evening. It was very touching.

– What occupations have you partially mastered during your career in order to appear believable in the frame?

– From the second – the profession of the bell. I learned to ring bells, I graduated from bell courses. I will soon be studying to be a car mechanic. Understanding the interior of a car is a difficult, interesting and useful skill in life. I also studied all the nuances of the webcam – how it works, sites, tokens and more. I have this knowledge, not yet useful in life (Laughs).

– Will the skills of a car mechanic come in handy? Are you driving a car?

Yes, I like to drive. But I don’t have my own car yet, I do car sharing. I’ve been looking at cars for a long time and I can’t understand what my heart is for. I can’t see my ideal car. Or I understand – but it’s like an apartment in Moscow.

– What and when did you pass on the right?

— It was six years ago, then I was in my second year. I came to my hometown of Kursk, my father agreed with a familiar trainer who trained me well, and I passed for the first time.

How was the month in your hometown?

— It is rather gloomy, because I have already met Moscow, made friends with my classmates. But I coped enough with the test, got the rights and left.

– I first saw you five years ago in the film “KVNschiki” by Ilya Aksenov, secretly filmed at a real KVN festival in Sochi. What feelings do you have from joining this party? Can you call “KVNshchikov” the most unusual project in your career?

– I still think that shooting in KVNschiki was my most adventurous experience. We met with Ilya, he said, “Let’s go to Sochi.” Although we didn’t plan to do this, we really did win some kind of Kaveen election in Moscow. There was such an air of gambling that we started a nice dirty trick. It was a great experiment that worked, I have so many good memories. This was my first project, winter in Sochi.

– Did you know anything about KVN before filming?

No, I didn’t know anything. Thanks to the film, I also acquired the skill of a KVN officer. I was crazy about the amount of new information that came in: from the laws of the KVN world, from the internal hierarchy. I thought it was just a cute game. This affected me.

– Do you continue to communicate with Ilya Aksenov?

– Yes, we communicate, we meet at galas, we meet at auditions.

— Have you received offers of cooperation in foreign projects?

No, but I’d like to try. I think it’s a wonderful and interesting experience. Everything is fine with English, once I passed the English exam. I’ve been doing it myself for several years.

– You’ve been very popular in the last few years. Like being the center of attention?

– I will not be flirtatious or cunning, I will say frankly: of course I liked it. It seems to me that this is a healthy pattern of behavior – rejoicing when you are praised. Pleased, I blur in a smile, it motivates.

Can you remember a recent motivational recommendation from an experienced colleague?

– A cool uncle with whom we sang a book today said a lot of nice words to me. One of them: “Don’t rush.”

— Do you read PM messages from fans? What are they writing to you?

– Write read. Usually these are just silent nude photos.

Would you discuss this with a girl? How does he react to you opening such messages?

Sometimes we both giggle.

— Do you have to reject the producers because you don’t have time?

– Of course you have to choose. It often happens that we are not matched in terms of employment.

Which role would you most definitely reject?

– Now I’m trying to be less sensitive to the demands of playing clumsy schoolchildren and things like that. And with special zeal, I run to the place where there is an opportunity to play new characters.

– Which character or new character do you dream of embodying? Maybe a bad guy?

“I definitely want to play a nightmarish villain that the audience is madly in love with. It’s fascinating, but it also does some terrible things – for example, it eats people.

– What do you like doing in your free time?

“Now it’s mostly sports. This is the best kind of meditation, distraction, healing. I try to go to the gym in my spare time.

You said you were overweight at school. Did you manage to get rid of it naturally during growth or through sports and nutrition?

– It happens through sports and nutrition.

– There’s a fine line where it’s easy to get into orthorexia and other types of eating disorders. Did it affect you?

– Of course, touched. Even when I lost weight, I had complexes about my body for a long time. She blamed herself for eating too much healthy food. Gradually, this became much easier, thanks to the cinema and bed scenes.

– No echoes of RPP now?

– Sometimes it appears somewhere, but much less often. Every six months I can say: “Oh, why was that fourth knuckle!” (Laughs). I’m not counting calories now. I’m eating pancakes and eggs right in front of you. And then eat more curd cheese.
