Canadian rapper Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) has spoken for the first time about his 10-year prison sentence for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion (real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete). His post on the social network Instagram (the owner of the Meta company was considered an extremist in Russia and was banned) quotes TMZ.

The rapper refused to plead guilty and called the punishment unfair. He explained in court that he only apologized for his words and personal communication with Megan.

“In no case did I apologize for what I was wrongfully convicted of. I insist: I do not apologize for what I did not do,” he wrote.

On August 9, Tory Lanez was found guilty of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, possession of an unregistered loaded weapon in a vehicle, and gross negligent use of such a firearm.

A high-profile incident occurred in July 2020 involving Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion (who were mentioned in a romantic relationship), who had no previous serious legal issues. Later, the musician was arrested after an argument after a house party in Los Angeles turned violent.

Formerly the Paramore band It is cancelled tour due to a serious illness of the soloist.
