The Alicante International Jazz Festival returns to its summer adventures with a remarkable selection of performances, such as the one witnessed last Thursday by the band 4EVER, led by master bassist and double bassist Stanley Clarke. He was the co-founder of “Return to Forever”, one of the pioneering bands of electronic music and jazz fusion, and this legacy is worshiped by the concert. The performance is fed with other hits from the album “Romantic Warrior” or “Romantic Warrior” (1976), produced by the unforgettable pianist Chick Corea, whom we saw on Fijazz. Other pieces include “Medieval overture”, “Sorcerer”, “Dance of Majesty” or “Wizard”.
The new arrangements offer progressive touches of “rock”, “funk”, “rhythm & blues” and evolution that do not give up hip-hop influences.
