State Duma comments on banning Russian songs in Kiev 10:53

Elena Yampolskaya, head of the State Duma Committee on Culture, commented on the ban on Russian songs in public places in Kiev. He was quoted DEA News.

According to the MP, the abolition of the Russian language in Ukraine’s capital would mean the removal of the city itself, which he calls “historically Russian”.

“It never was and never will be. Fighting the Russians in Kiev means fighting Kiev itself. “To cancel Russian in Kiev means to cancel Kiev,” said Yampolskaya.
