Russians called Vladimir Menshov’s film “Moscow Doesn’t Believe in Tears” as a picture that influenced their relationship. This was reported to socialbites.ca by representatives of the Cinema channel, citing its own survey of 1,740 respondents.
The movie “Moscow Doesn’t Believe in Tears” was chosen by 26.3% of respondents. Garry Marshall’s “Pretty Woman” took the second place with 20.2%. In third place was Gone with the Wind, starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable (11.2%). Next comes The Notebook (10.2%), by Nick Cassavetes, and fifth-placed comedy The Taming of the Shrew (10%), featuring Adriano Celentano and Ornella Muti.
“In these films, in addition to the classical typing of human relationships, a couple’s or a person’s view of love is also clearly revealed. They reflect the reality in which a person would want to stay, ”said Elena Tolstaya, a sexologist and presenter of the Doctor TV channel.
In the survey, 43.5% of Russians claim to have found their soul mate by watching movies. It is noteworthy that the importance of cinema in choosing a spouse is more frequently expressed by men than by women (25.7% vs. 17.8%).
“When a man chooses a movie, it implies that he will watch it. He is more involved in the process. In this regard, a woman is more flexible and multitasks at the same time: she can do the dishes at the same time, respond to conversations, order something online, etc. Therefore, cinema is not an important factor for women when choosing a spouse, ”explained Elena Tolstaya.
Previously Director Quentin Tarantino has denied rumors that he is working on the game Kill Bill.
