The actor was sentenced to three years in prison in June 2021. He was found guilty of recruiting women and forcing them to become sex slaves of NXIVM cult leader Keith Raniere. Mack faced 14 to 17.5 years in prison. However, the actor cooperated with the investigation and pleaded guilty at the trial, and therefore received a much shorter sentence.

Raniere was accused of forming a secret society in which women were branded with his initials, forced to follow strict diets and had sex with the organization’s leader. In March 2019, Raniere was also charged with pedophilia and child pornography. He did not admit his guilt. The man was sentenced to 120 years in prison.
