Marvel’s ‘Secret Invasion’ director reveals why he hasn’t read the original comics

Director Ali Selim, who worked on the series Secret Invasion, admitted that he wanted Marvel not to read the original comics before filming. He mentioned this in a chat with Portal. IGN.

“The first thing Marvel said to me when I got this job was, ‘Don’t read the comics, they have nothing to do with this show.’ The series was born mostly out of the strained relationship between Nick Fury and Talos,” said Selim.

Samuel L. Jackson first introduced Nick Fury in the 2008 movie Iron Man. Fury was the director of the SHIELD organization until 2014. In 2018, the character becomes a victim of the “click” of the intergalactic titan Thanos and disappears for 5 years. Five years later, Nick Fury returned and flew into space.

Previously Jackson was upset that he wasn’t acting in all Marvel projects.
