Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Tenoch Huerta has left the upcoming Netflix movie Fiesta en la Madriguera after being accused of sexual harassment by musician and activist Maria Elena Rios. The actor has previously denied the allegations. Hollywood Reporter.
On June 21, Huerth said, “Given the impact and the damage they have caused by Maria Elena Ríos’ recent misrepresentations, I have no choice but to withdraw from Fiesta en la Madriguera.
The artist said in a statement, “I do this with great sadness, but I cannot allow his actions to harm not only me, but also the efforts of dozens of talented and hardworking people involved in the project.” He added that his goal now is to continue the process of restoring his reputation.
Filmmaker Manolo Caro has been busy working on this project, and Huerta was the main star last month.
Rios accused the artist of being a “sexual predator”. She wrote that he raped her on social media.
After the accusations, Huerta issued a statement rebutting the allegations, calling them “false and completely unfounded”. The actor stated that he and Rios previously had a mutually consensual relationship that lasted several months.
