The opening of the days of Russian cinema and animation (Russian Film Festival) took place in Turkmenistan. It has been reported TASS.
The festival will take place from June 9-14. Russian Cinema and Animation Week is dedicated to the celebration of Russia Day. Screenings will be held in Ashgabat and Berkarar cinemas. In honor of the opening, photography zones with cartoon characters, information contests and various competitions were held in the foyer of the buildings. Also, guests were able to try themselves in an impromptu casting, which was filmed, for example, in the role of a hero or princess.
Family and animation films were included in the festival program. Among them is the movie “Cheburashka”, which will be released on June 12. Turkmen viewers will watch the family fantasy “Sorcerers” as well as the cartoons “Ivan Tsarevic and the Gray Wolf 5” and “Hermitage Cats”.
“Cheburashka” was released in Russian theaters on January 1 and became the highest-grossing film in local distribution history. The main roles in the film were played by Sergey Garmash, Elena Yakovleva, Polina Maksimova, Fedor Dobronravov, Sergey Lavygin. Cheburashka was voiced by actress Olga Kuzmina.
