Journalist and blogger Yevgeny Ponasenkov (known in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) described the case against his friend lawyer Ramis Zaripov as “empty” after a clash with an unidentified man in Russia, in an interview with socialbites.ca. center of Moscow. Ponasenkov also stressed that the police had no complaints against him.

Conflict between blogger Yevgeny Ponasenkov, his friend Ramis Zaripov and an unidentified man dead June 6, in the Khamovniki district of Moscow. According to the security camera footage, the friends first tried to get away from the stranger who disturbed them, then Zaripov pushed the man away. He fell on the pavement and badly injured his head.

The victim was hospitalized with multiple head injuries and cerebral edema, unconscious. The identity of the man could not be determined as there were no documents with him.
