The job is the same, perhaps more crazily, with more pressure than it should be done. But what’s going on is very important, that’s about it. However, it is a fact that many people are unemployed.

If we look at the films that have been successful in festivals around the world, the award winners are women over 50. We are part of a very high percentage of history that has happened to us.

Speaking of the future of this country, the elections turned everything upside down. How do you evaluate the entry of a party like Vox into almost all regional parliaments and city councils?

I find it scary and very worrying. It’s not a regression, it’s a very clear advance of the far right, and I find that very sad and painful. It is absolutely unacceptable for us to live in a society where the far-right is in our institutions. Any party that questions everything that is done in favor of the poor, what everyone is doing for himself, is of no use to progress. All this will lead us back to too much violence, too much racism and too much inequality. Hope is a kind of armored door that must be broken with will, courage and desire to create the world we dream of and deserve. Because we have some basic human rights that are not being fulfilled. And the problem is, there are a lot of people who don’t vote because I refuse to believe that it represents the majority of society. You should go out and vote, it’s not worth complaining about the way the world is at the bar. It has cost us dearly to have this vote.

I worked on that movie when it came to San Sebastián to shoot after taking a test. I had a great time and it’s a privilege. There were many moments that felt like you were watching a Woody Allen movie, but from the inside. It was very special to me. I was doing their first season. Unit and Dani de la Torre told me that she would not compete with Woody Allen and gave me a few days to shoot with him.

Are you one of those actresses who dream of Hollywood?

No no. Let’s see, to be honest, I find it very appealing to shoot in other languages, I think it’s great because when you work on an accent, the characters come out on their own. I would like to use it more, but when I started doing theater with Animalario, we went to a play for almost a year and one day you look back, you go abroad, so it’s like it doesn’t exist anymore. I had the opportunity to make a movie in France, but I had concerts and didn’t have the courage to find a replacement for me. Start from scratch now, no. And in the end I wanted to be an actress to travel even though it wasn’t. Also, they don’t even ask for an accent when you take an exam abroad anymore. In fiction, the possibility of mixing up many more nationalities, ages, races, origins opens up… And that’s very good because we can all see ourselves identified in a drama.
