The farewell ceremony for journalist Eduard Sagalaev, President of the National Union of Broadcasters, will be held on May 16 in the funeral parlor at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow. It has been reported TASS based on the testimony of the relatives of the deceased.
“The farewell will come true <...> at 11:00,” said the journalist’s relatives.

Sagalaev – Honored Journalist of Russia, winner of the USSR State Prize in literature, art and architecture. He was born on October 3, 1946. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the University of Samarkand in 1967. In the 1980s, he headed the main editorial directorate of youth programs of the USSR State Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation. Between 1988-1990, he worked as the editor-in-chief and vice-president of the information department at the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation. He was also the editor-in-chief of the information program “Time” and hosted the program “Seven Days”. Sagalaev has headed the National Association of Publishers since 1995.
