“Guardians of the Galaxy. Episode 3 set a world record for the most plastic makeup used on set, according to Variety.
The publication points out that make-up artist Alexei Dmitriev and hair artist Cassie Russek, who worked on the project, created skins of intergalactic heroes using a total of 22,500 stage makeup items and 500 wigs.
Such a volume of plastic makeup is an absolute record for Hollywood, thanks to which the new “Guardians of the Galaxy” surpassed the successes of the previous leader – the family comedy “The Grinch Stole Christmas” with Jim Carrey.
Talking about the work in the film, Dmitriev admitted that a total of 75 makeup artists took part in the film.
“Sometimes this number goes up to 90 people. It took so many experts to save time. Two artists came out who created a make-up,” he said.
