According to Collider, star of the second season of the satirical anthology White Lotus, Theo James has joined the cast of the “Ape” film adaptation of Stephen King’s short story “Ape”, released in 1985 as part of the “Skeleton Crew” collection.

The film is produced by James Wan, best known for his work on The Conjuring, Saw and Astral horror series.

Exactly who James will play is currently unknown. The plot of the tape will focus on two twin brothers Hal and Bill, who find their father’s toy monkey and soon face a series of horrific deaths. Then Hal and Bill decide to throw the monkey away. Years later, the people around the brothers begin to die again, and then the heroes must reunite to destroy the sinister toy once and for all.

Oz Perkins, who directed the fantasy movie Gretel & Hansel, is preparing to direct the adaptation of The Monkey.

Stephen King is the godfather of the horror genre. “He had a huge impact on me as a kid and throughout my career, and it’s always been my dream to help bring one of his stories to life.”

Previously It has been announced that The Haunting of Hill House director Mike Flanagan will play Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill in a Stephen King movie.
