As part of the second “May True Cinema Festival”, the Poklonka cinema at the Zafer Museum hosted the screening of the documentary films “Brain Azak (an organization banned in Russia)” and “Fifteen:” on May 10. The wild division of Donbass”.
“Today we present a film about the most legendary unit that participated in all the glorious battles on the Donetsk front since 2014. These are the guys from Pyatnashka, now they are already called the Wild Division of the Donbass. These are the men who are currently engaged in offensive operations to save Avdiivka, ”said Marina Kim, the author of the film.
It was noted that fighters from the Avdeevskaya front specially came to Moscow to present a documentary film.
“The department has a multinational structure. And our movie is about that. The fact that guys from different parts of our country, former republics and CIS countries come together and fight together and live like one family, ”Kim added.
According to him, in the film “Fifteen: Wild Division of Donbass”, the fighters of the special military operation openly share their thoughts and feelings with the film crew.
“The atmosphere of our department is like a family. I will say even more: this is a very holy brotherhood where everyone lives and fights for each other. Regardless of nationality, religion, we are united around a common goal, the duty is to protect the homeland, to protect those who need our protection, ”said one of the heroes of the film, the warrior of the Alyas division (call sign – Dağlı).
In the movie “Azov of the Brain”, Kim’s crew managed to talk with Ukrainian nationalists captured from the terrorist organization “Azov”. The shootings took place shortly before the Ukrainian authorities launched rocket attacks on the colony where Azov prisoners were being held.
“Communicating with them was not very pleasant. They are definitely ideologically savvy. It was immediately clear that these weren’t people who had gotten something into their head, and they left. It seems that this is an ideology that works against us. It has purposely been on their heads for the past 30 years and now we have such a result,” said Kim.
