The painter emphasized that the couturier said that he wanted to be buried in Moscow all his life. According to Safronov, whoever decided to bury Zaitsev in Shchelkovo acted recklessly. The artist believes that the fashion designer connects the minds and hearts of millions of people with his work.

The parting ceremony was attended by son Yegor, grandson Marusya, stylist Sergei Zverev, singer Nadezhda Babkina, Tatyana Mikhalkova, Bedros Kirkorov, director Avangard Leontiev, designer Igor Gulyaev. The funeral was held in the Cathedral of the Life-Giving Trinity.
Vyacheslav Zaitsev died on April 30 at the age of 85. According to media reports, the cause of death was internal bleeding.
