In 2023, the Lavrentiev map, a regional analogue of the Pushkin map, will appear in the Novosibirsk region. It has been reported TASS with reference to the press service of the governor and the regional government.

Postgraduate students from Novosibirsk scientific institutes and universities will be able to visit theaters, cinemas and museums using the card.

Mikhail Lavrentiev, who will give the map its name, is a Soviet mathematician and mechanic, founder of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS, former USSR Academy of Sciences), first president of SB RAS.
