As newlyweds Claire Hodgson and Lynse Tanne remember, they were about to walk down the aisle when they noticed Ruffalo staring at them. Moreover, the couple did not immediately recognize the star: it seemed familiar to them, but they did not expect to meet familiar faces in the USA, since they had recently arrived in New York from England.
“I realized he had a really good camera and I thought, ‘Oh, he must be a photographer,’” Hodgson said. As Ruffalo was about to leave without recognition, the young man exclaimed: “I’m Mark Ruffalo.” And the actor immediately returned.
Ruffalo took pictures with the newlyweds, shook hands and congratulated them on a “magic day”. “Out of all these people, actors of all kinds or whatever, who else can come to our boring wedding!” Hodgson joked.
The couple wore Star Trek badges on their suits on their wedding day, and two days before the event, Hodgson got a tattoo of Batman. “So the Hulk looks great,” the girl summed up.
