Kusturica says Russian culture cannot be canceled

Serbian director and musician Emir Kusturica said on the 90th anniversary of the founding of Russia House, the representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in Belgrade, that Russian culture cannot be destroyed because of its depth, scale and achievements. Public News Service.

Kusturica attended the celebration with a cast and crutches due to a broken leg. Ambassador of Russia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko told him “Great Russian writer FM Dostoevsky 1821 – 2021 from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.” Kusturica noted that she was delighted to be associated with a man who revealed the deepest secrets of the human psyche and prevented the rejection of culture in Western Europe.

He noted that because of scale, depth and achievements, as well as timeless value, Russian culture can never be canceled. Serbian Post issued a special stamp for the 90th anniversary of the House of Russia, which was presented at the celebration.
