The trial of ex-spouses Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues in the US state of Virginia. In a recent hearing, representatives from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) talked about the Aquaman star’s financial difficulties. Deadline reports.
ACLU director Terence Dougherty said in court that in 2016 Hurd promised to pay the organization $3.5 million, but the actress only donated about $1 million, unable to meet her remaining obligations due to financial difficulties.
According to Dougherty, Heard first transferred $350,000 to the ACLU account, after which actor Johnny Depp donated another $100,000 on his behalf. After a while, another $500,000 was deposited into the organization’s account on behalf of the artist, and Dougherty therefore suggested that these funds were donated by multibillionaire Elon Musk, with whom Hurd had a two-time relationship.
More than 2 million people before signed a petition To remove Heard from Aquaman 2.
