Director James Gunn confirmed on Twitter that the third and final film of Guardians of the Galaxy will be the longest in the trilogy. The working time will be about two and a half hours.
“Although it is not certain yet. I promise that not a second of the movie will be wasted. <…> It is necessary to experience the full arc of each hero of the Guardians of the Galaxy. [Это важно] Not just for the movie, but for the entire trilogy (or should I say trilogy plus),” Gunn wrote.
The director explained that by “trilogy plus” he means three feature films, as well as the non-original Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
The world premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is scheduled for May 5, 2023. As Gann said, the third picture will be fundamentally different in tone from the previous two. He also stated that he plans to give Rocket the Raccoon more screen time.
