Actor Vladislav Galkin, who passed away in 2010, will reappear on the screen as Grigory Kaltygin, a character from the TV series Saboteur. His hero was recreated using Deep Fake technology, Channel One representatives told socialbites.ca.
In the TV series “Saboteur”. A sequel to the original project, Perfect Storm, Galkin’s character was given eight minutes of screen time.
The first episode of the action movie “Saboteur” was released in 2004. The main characters were young graduates of the intelligence school Lenya Filatov and Alexei Bobrikov (Alexei Bardukov and Kirill Pletnev) and Grigory Kaltygin (Vladislav Galkin), who played the role of a young lieutenant. The movie takes place in 1942.
In 2007, “Saboteur. The end of the war.” And in 2020 – “Saboteur. Crimea”, but Galkin’s character was not in the movie: according to the plot, Kaltygin did not participate in the operation.
The premiere of the series “Saboteur. Ideal Storm” will take place on Channel One on May 9.
