The authors of Animated Russian Horror Anthology: Red Cast Alexei Klimov and Yuri Stepanov said in an interview with socialbites.ca that they are preparing the continuation of the project.
“It seems to us that this story is unfolding, so it is interesting that all the participants in the process did it,” Stepanov admitted.
He added that the writers are now in the process of choosing new stories and communicating with directors, noting that the project is planned to “expand its geography.”
“We are a small independent studio (we are talking about the Canadian Lakeside Animation Studio, of which Yuri and Alexey are representatives – socialbites.ca), so sometimes our life is not easy. Such projects require some preparation, but we are free and independent in what we do,” summarized Alexey Klimov.
In February, more.tv and Kinopoisk released the animated Anthology of Russian Horror: Red Cast by Lakeside Animation Studio and Studio Metrafilms Moldova based on works by Pushkin, Tolstoy, Zhukovsky and other Russian writers.
