Netflix has released the first full trailer for Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Story, which predates Shonda Rhimes’ famous costume, The Bridgertons. The video is available on the official YouTube channel of the online cinema.
The nearly three-minute video shows young Charlotte trying to avoid marriage, but after finally getting to know her better, King of Great Britain III. It shows that she is in love with George.
According to the show’s plot, young Charlotte, who is betrothed to the British monarch against her will, arrives in London, where it is revealed that the members of the royal family are not the person they expected to see. Settling into her new court, society, and marriage, Charlotte becomes one of Europe’s most flamboyant monarchs. In the trailer, King George said to the girl, “You’re out of breath. You’re breaking the rules, you’re causing a scandal. You are the noblest person I know.”
Queen Charlotte played Golda Rochevel, who played the heroine in The Bridgertons, and India Amarteifio played the younger version. (“Sex education”). The role of young King George went to Corey Milkhrist from the Sandman series. Anjoa Ando also took part in the cast of the series. (Lady Danbury) and Ruth Gemmel (Viscountess Violet Bridgerton). The side script was written by Shonda Rhimes, the creator of the original series.
The third season of The Bridgertons is currently in production and has also been previously renewed for a fourth season.
Queen Charlotte will be released on Netflix on May 4. The mini-series will consist of six episodes.
