Pop singer MakSim (Marina Abrosimova) apologized to the audience for the canceled concert at the Rosa Hall in Sochi. The artist wrote about this on his social networks.
“It is not easy for me to write this text, but I sincerely apologize to everyone who let me down yesterday… The pressure has increased, my head is spinning, my voice is lost. The conditions were stronger than me, I had to give the microphone to the sound engineer and leave the stage.”
MakSim also promised to refund all the money for canceled concert tickets. According to the singer, the schedule of the tour “I Will Live” remains the same – the next performance is scheduled for April 1 in Tver.
On March 18, the director of the singer, Pavel Nazarov, told RIA Novosti that the artist fell ill during a performance in Sochi. Director of public relations MakSim Yana Bogushevskaya said that even in the afternoon – before the concert – Abrosimova’s blood pressure rose, she felt dizzy and fell very ill. He explained this with a “heavy schedule” – MakSim sang in Krasnodar on March 14 before the performance in Sochi.
During a performance in Sochi, MakSim performed only a few songs, and then left the stage without explanation. According to the organizers, he needed the help of doctors.
The audience told about their impressions of the scandalous concert in a conversation with socialbites.ca. Sergei, a Sochi resident, said MakSim was “in a strange situation”.
“I was at a concert yesterday, but it would have been better if I had not gone there. MakSim was in an awkward position, pregnant hoodie, bare back, with folds of skin on his back. I didn’t hit a single note from the first song and then it got worse. From his appearance and behavior, there was a feeling that he was under the influence of something. In the third song, we got up and left with most of the people,” said the man.
According to him, already on the fifth song, the artist “did not specially knit a bast, he quietly turned and left, and the whole team left the stage behind him.” She added that for another half hour, “people waited in the silence of the hall for about thirty minutes,” but no one explained anything to them. Also, dissatisfied spectators called the police because “they didn’t want to refund the tickets.”
“It would be better if she stayed in my memory as that beautiful-voiced, radiant girl and not this one. If a person really feels bad, then why should he be allowed to go on stage, it is easier to cancel the concert and not tarnish his dignity, ”added Sergey.
The audience Yulia told socialbites.ca that the singer apparently fell very ill.
“As for the microphone, no one threw it away. It seems that at the very end he got very sick and left the stage. The whole performance was obvious that she could not sing – it was difficult for her, and her voice was hoarse. “He didn’t look drunk, but it was clear that there was something wrong with his health.”
According to Yulia, it would be better if the organizers turned on the soundtrack, so as not to force the artist and people “dance by themselves.” She added that she has no complaints about MakSim as the singer tries to perform well despite her deplorable condition.
“As a person, I feel bad for him. Hearing that you are not doing well among the crowd of fans, I think it made the situation worse. We were four friends and we all agreed that we would not return the money. Still, she sang the most popular songs as she could,” the woman said.
A resident of Kolomna, Olga told socialbites.ca that she purposely came to Sochi for the concert of her beloved singer.
“If the concert had ended with a bad sound, we wouldn’t have thought about it, because everything is clear, a person is after a disease. And then it was just a shame, ”the woman said.
In June 2021, MakSim suffered from severe COVID-19, the singer fell into an artificial coma for several weeks and was placed on a ventilator.
