The premiere of the play “Old-Fashioned Comedy” staged by Honored Artist of Russia Vladimir Skvortsov took place on the stage “Under the Roof” of the Mossovet Theater, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. The press service of the theater “socialbites.ca” said that the performance made the audience rethink the play of the same name by Alexei Arbuzov.
“Theatre itself is poetry. I have it even in my strictest productions. I’m always looking for this lightness. But also – and humor, ”said Skvortsov.
Honored Artists of Russia Irina Klimova and Vladimir Maizinger play the leading roles in the production. Its protagonists are lonely, middle-aged people who are alone in their personal problems and manage to find a way to each other’s hearts.
In 1979, the film adaptation of the play “Old-Fashioned Comedy” was released, with Alisa Freindlikh and Igor Vladimirov in the lead roles.
