On March 10, violinist Vadim Repin will open the 10th Trans-Siberian Art Festival with a concert in Krasnoyarsk. In this respect informs “Russian newspaper”.
Novosibirsk remains the center of the festival, but this year Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, Omsk, St. Concerts will also be held in St. Petersburg, Samara and Moscow. Despite the complex relations between Europe and Russia, European soloists are expected to perform this time (for example Konstantin Lifshitz from Switzerland, Andres Mustonen from Estonia). “Over the years, I have built a large circle of friends, and many of them understand how important it is to keep the things that unite us. I am very happy and proud that we have musicians traveling with an open mind, both for the sake of performances and to be with good friends,” explained the organizer of the festival.
Repin also drew attention to the importance of culture in difficult times. “The work of musicians and artists has always been an important cultural bridge. “My communication with my colleagues gives me hope that they won’t get burned this time,” he said.
