The music of People’s Artist of Russia Eduard Artemiev will be performed at the “Territory of Love” concert by the Academic Grand Concert Orchestra bearing his name. Silantiev, artistic director and chief conductor, under the direction of Honored Art Worker of Russia Alexander Klevitsky. The event’s press service told socialbites.ca that the event will take place on March 20 at the Meridian cultural center in Moscow.

“For me, the upcoming concert at Meridian is not just a tribute to the greatest, I’m not afraid of this great promise, composer and professional,” said Klevitsky. “This is an homage to the memory of a wonderful friend and the kindest person whose friendship over the years taught me so much and who I sadly miss today.”

Soviet and Russian composer Eduard Artemyev died on December 29, 2022, at the age of 85. He became the music writer for both Olympics in Russia, and also wrote compositions for the films of Andrei Tarkovsky, Nikita Mikhalkov and Andrei Konchalovsky. Artemyev’s music is performed in “At Home Among Strangers, Stranger Among Us”, “Burnt by the Sun”, “Stalker”, “Solaris”, “Kin”, “Purely English Murder” and other films.

Former Russian President Vladimir Putin judicial Artemyev’s music is a symbol of the historical age.
