‘Alicante Cinema’, The section of the Alicante Film Festival that promotes and encourages cinematographic creation in the province will screen 20 short films by directors and filmmakers from Alicante in collaboration with the Alicante Provincial Council.
20 short films They can be seen on May 24 and 25 in Kinepolis cinemas and they come from the following towns: Alicante, Busot, Mutxamel, Sant Joan de Alacant, Cox, El Campello, Santa Pola, San Vicente, Elche, Callosa d’en Sarrià and Alcoy. Some works come from IES Luis García Berlanga at Sant Joan d’Alacant.

The works will compete for the public prize, where participants will vote for their favorite among the selected works.
“We are committed to audiovisual creation in the province of Alicante due to the large number of directors and producers we have and who have provided us with very interesting work. There are 20 people selected this year, a much higher figure than previous editions and that shows the quality of our filmmakers”, said Vicente Seva, director of the Alicante Film Festival, which celebrated its 19th edition from 21 to 28 May.
