Depuskinization specifically shows how the first Pushkin monument, erected in 1899, was destroyed in Kiev on October 11, 2022. Statues of the poet were also destroyed or desecrated in other Ukrainian cities: Mukachevo, Uzhgorod, Konotop, Kharkov, Odessa, etc.
Alexander Pushkin died on February 10, 1837, after being wounded in a duel.
