According to Robb Report, Marlon Brando’s personal letter about breaking up with the French actress is worth $15,000 (just over 1 million rubles).
The letter from the Hollywood actor was written by him in his late 40s and is dedicated to his breakup with the young French actress Solange Podel.
In three pages full of minor grammatical errors, Brando penned his attempts to end amicably with his ex.
The future star of The Godfather insists in his speech that Podel is not responsible for his desire to leave.
“Please accept this letter with an open heart, as it is written with absolute sincerity. I wish I could put more effort into being a more loyal boyfriend. Nevertheless, I remember you with love, respect and gratitude. When we meet in France (perhaps in October), I hope my behavior will be a little more adult. And please give my best regards to your mother if she accepts,” the letter says.
The auction, where it will be possible to compete for Brando’s personal letter, will take place on February 8.
