American actress Shawnee Smith, who played the first episodes of the horror movie Saw, may return to the series in the upcoming tenth installment of the series. Deadline reports.
Smith played Amanda Young in Saw, a former drug addict who first appears as a supporting character but later becomes the series’ second enemy behind Jigsaw. The character has appeared in all of the series’ first seven films, but Smith has appeared in only four films: archival footage was used in the fourth, fifth, and seventh episodes.
According to Deadline, Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures refused to confirm Smith’s participation in the tenth film. It is also known that Tobin Bell will return to the role of Designer. The tape is directed by Kevin Grothert, who directed the films “Saw 6” and “Saw 3D” and also edited the first five episodes of the series and “Saw 8”.
The new movie is scheduled for release on October 27, 2023, and is currently filming in Mexico City.
Previously Ridley Scott’s “Alien” is reportedly the most popular movie about aliens among Russians.
