The producer of the Marvel movies explains how the studio chose new characters for the universe

Nate Moore, Vice President of Production and Development at Marvel Studios, talked about the process of selecting new characters for the series. The producer shared this information on a new episode of Hollywood insider Matthew Belloni’s podcast.

“[Эти решения] to be honest, it is considered different. You know, every couple of years we do a not-so-secret retreat, usually we go to Palm Springs and we just talk about interesting characters and stories we want to tell. Or “Hey, if you could do one thing, what would it be? Who would it be? What are the heroes we haven’t used yet but have a heart for them? said Moore.

According to him, the ideas of incorporating the concept of the multiverse into the series and building the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe around the Infinity Gauntlet came about especially thanks to this type of brainstorming. The producer also noted that Marvel doesn’t feel short of ideas, as they’ve been working with materials that have accumulated over 50 years.

Previously Marvel star Chris Hemsworth has announced his intention to take a career break indefinitely after he was diagnosed with a gene responsible for the development of Alzheimer’s disease.
