A a few activists for the environment they tried unsuccessfully to adhere to the framework of Edvard Munch’s iconic painting ‘The Scream’.At the National Museum in Oslo (Norway).
Museum security guards they reduced two activists and the third recording the action.
Police confirmed that the attempt left an otherwise intact glue residue on the glass that protected the painting, as reported on its Twitter account.
‘The Scream’ is considered the Norwegian painter’s most famous work. and this Friday he became the target of the “Stopp oljeletinga” (Adequate oil exploration) group.
The three detainees are citizens of Finland, Denmark and Norway, As reported by the police.
In a statement, the organization demanded the immediate suspension of all exploration and development licenses for new oil and gas fields in Norway, one of the world’s largest producers.
