Launch a new version of: Guitars at SchoolA social integration project involving 10 young people from IES Gran Vía in Alicante this year who will receive free guitar lessons from the teacher Joe Ott. Adolescents are selected by the management team of IES Gran Vía, an educational center located in the north of Alicante where 37 different nationalities live together. In this sense, the work and involvement of deputy director María José Cano is crucial to the development of the project. 10 young people will receive one hour of free Spanish guitar lessons per week from famous Spanish-Cuban guitarist Joe Ott, who is involved in social projects around the world. In exchange for taking guitar lessons, children agree to engage in good behavior and attend class. Those who manage to reach the end keep the guitar they used. This is the seventh of the Guitars at School project, which was launched in 2016 to increase the self-confidence and school performance of children at risk of social exclusion through music.
