Wintershall Dea has announced the discovery of gas deposits in the Nile Delta, a development that adds to the region’s energy output. The discovery marks a potential step forward for Wintershall Dea and its collaborators as they assess the best ways to bring the resource to market. Partners in the project include Cheiron Energy, INA, and Egypt Gas Holding Company (EGAS). The teams are evaluating deposit development opportunities while leveraging the existing infrastructure of the Disouq project, a joint effort led by Wintershall Dea and EGAS Disouco.
