According to the bank’s press service, the user base of Sber’s neural networks GigaChat and Kandinsky has now reached 18 million since their launch.

Officials expressed satisfaction with the growing popularity of these artificial intelligence services and noted that developer teams are continually working to refine and enhance the solutions for broader usability and reliability.

A new version of Kandinsky is planned to be released at an appropriate time. The upcoming update is expected to expand image and video processing capabilities and to deliver a noticeable improvement in overall production quality and user experience.

GigaChat was introduced by Sber in the spring of 2023 as a cutting-edge Russian neural network designed to handle a range of tasks. The platform supports natural conversations, text generation, coding assistance, and more. By September that year, access to GigaChat was opened to the public, expanding its reach beyond developers and enterprises.

Integrating Kandinsky into GigaChat enables users to generate unique images directly within chats. Kandinsky is capable of producing photorealistic visuals in multiple styles and can interpret queries in more than 100 languages, making it a versatile tool for a global audience including Canada and the United States.

Among the most popular features in GigaChat is the ability to create custom holiday postcards and to handle requests for writing text, creating images, and summarizing longer pieces. For Valentine’s Day and International Women’s Day, a large portion of users engaged with the postcard feature, with millions of designs shared across social networks and messaging platforms, reflecting a growing trend in personalized AI-assisted content creation.

Additionally, the service has processed a substantial number of requests for content writing, visual generation, and concise summaries of longer documents. Within a single month, GigaChat users engaged with the platform extensively, highlighting the demand for AI-driven communication and creative support across different markets and languages.
