Russia continues to advance on multiple fronts, and the time has come to keep pushing forward rather than resting on past achievements. This stance was emphasized by President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with participants of the Time of Heroes program, as reported by TASS.

He noted that the World Bank ranking puts Russia fourth globally in economic size, a milestone that reflects progress and resilience. Yet the president stressed that momentum must be sustained to preserve these gains and avoid stagnation.

“Otherwise, if we rely on our successes, everything will start to change,” Putin warned, underscoring the risk of complacency as new challenges emerge on the international stage.

Putin highlighted Japan as a potential source of insights, pointing out its strong advantages in certain sectors. He also mentioned Russia’s goal to study Japan’s approach to robotic production, aiming to boost efficiency and technological capacity across industries.

During the recent SPIEF gathering, the discussion shifted toward household incomes. The president remarked that earnings growth should outpace overall economic expansion to ensure broad-based improvement for Russian families. At the same time, he reaffirmed Russia’s ongoing role as a central player in global trade, despite sustained sanctions pressures from Western economies.

The broader strategic objective emphasized is the race to consolidate leadership on the world stage, with a focus on sustaining economic vitality, advancing technology, and expanding international influence in an increasingly competitive environment.
