The Rosneft pavilion at the Russian exhibition and forum showcased Yakutia, the coldest and largest region, inviting visitors to explore its traditions and culture as presented by the company’s press service. The opening day highlighted the region’s growing industrial and socio-economic potential and Rosneft’s role within it, drawing attention from officials, industry experts, and regional partners alike.
Leaders and participants noted Rosneft as a long-standing, dependable partner with a deep understanding of Yakutia’s oil production opportunities. Beyond industrial endeavors, the company is actively involved in the region’s social life, a commitment that earned broad respect and public support for its responsible approach and sustained collaboration.
In Yakutia, Rosneft is represented by Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha, which is advancing the Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas concentration field. It stands as one of Rosneft’s three largest assets in the East Siberian oil cluster and contributes significantly to regional output. Current production exceeds five million tons of oil per year, underscoring the facility’s importance to the company and the local economy. In October 2023, workers at Taas-Yuryakh marked a major milestone by reaching the 30 millionth ton of oil produced since operations began.
The company emphasized that high-efficiency geological surveys are achieved through a combination of cutting-edge technologies, a holistic approach to exploration, and close collaboration between Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha scientists and the Rosneft research and design complex. This integrated method supports precise resource assessment and accelerated development of promising fields.
Among notable projects is the construction of a world-leading 15-barrel multilateral well named Berezovy Leaf on the Srednebotuobinskoye field. The name mirrors a tree leaf in silhouette, and the well extends beyond 12.7 thousand meters in total length, featuring the longest drilling trajectory in the country. Initial results were remarkable, with the well achieving production rates surpassing 400 tons of oil per day. Distinct from traditional fishbone multilateral designs, Berezovy Leaf boasts seven primary laterals, each bifurcating into two branches, delivering an efficiency roughly ten times higher than conventional horizontal wells.
Rosneft also highlighted its strong commitment to supporting education, social programs, cultural initiatives, and local cultural preservation within Yakutia. Visitors to the Rosneft pavilion were treated to immersive experiences, including films that depict the region, performances by Yakut Father Frost Chyskhaan Keeper of Coldness, and khomus musicians, along with a glimpse into the sacred Algys ritual.
The international exhibition and forum Russia opened at VDNKh on November 4 and runs through April 12, 2024. The event gathers representatives from all corners of the country, featuring exhibitions from 89 regions, 21 ministries, 19 companies and organizations, and various public forums. The program emphasizes regional achievements, industrial innovations, and cultural exchanges, reflecting the broad spectrum of Russia’s economic and social activities.
