During the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at VDNH on January 27, the plenary session titled “Russian Fuel and Energy Complex: New Opportunities for Development” will take place as part of Industrial Energy Day. Rosneft’s First Vice President Sergei Menzhinsky is expected to attend, according to the company’s communications.
The event will showcase innovative technologies developed and implemented by Rosneft’s specialists. Visitors to the pavilion will receive in-depth information about the Digital Space project, and company experts will demonstrate this technology in action.
Among the highlights will be robotic systems designed to inspect equipment in hard-to-access sections of the oil refining and petrochemical sectors. A presentation on “Why oil workers need seismic research and how artificial intelligence helps” will illustrate how modern computing methods support oil exploration and production.
Attendees will also be introduced to contemporary laser technologies that enable precise digital replicas of industrial facilities and nearby geological deposits.
A historical lecture on the development of petrochemicals in Russia will offer listeners insights into how valuable materials are produced from oil, complemented by compelling anecdotes from the industry’s evolution.
Exhibits will feature quizzes, screenings of documentaries such as “Time Machines” and “Live” (about the Zvezda shipyard), and popular science films including “Oil History” and “Novokuibyshev Oil Refinery.” A sambo master class from around the world will be offered, along with a LADA Sport Rosneft racing simulators tournament featuring champion Karina Cherevan and team pilot Maxim Turiev.
Rosneft is noted as the first Russian company to digitalize the entire oil production workflow and to launch the Digital Space project in 2019. The full-scale digital twin enables remote monitoring of oil production and transportation in real time, along with management of personal protective equipment, and the movement of equipment and personnel across production facilities.
