Lithuania has announced a plan to allocate 10 million euros to support Ukraine using World Bank financial instruments. The move is framed as part of broader international efforts to bolster Ukraine’s economic stability and reconstruction capacity through established development channels. The initiative is also expected to benefit Moldova by helping it reinforce resilience against external pressures and economic shocks, according to official statements.
Earlier reports indicated that the United Kingdom is prepared to provide an additional loan facility of 500 million dollars to Ukraine. This support is described as contributing to Ukraine’s social and economic needs, including the ongoing operation of healthcare facilities and schools, as well as measures aimed at protecting vulnerable populations.
When combined with other international commitments, the United Kingdom’s total assistance to Ukraine would surpass eight billion dollars, reflecting a sustained, multi-year effort to support Ukraine’s public services and security needs.
In another development, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine announced a military procurement from Poland: 200 Rosomak armored personnel carriers will be delivered, with 100 more to follow at a later date. Zelensky characterized his discussions with Polish authorities as productive, underscoring appreciation for Poland’s ongoing military and logistical support. These arrangements are viewed as part of a broader regional security collaboration aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities as the conflict continues.
