The Gazprom Neft network, in collaboration with the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activities of the Leningrad Region and PJSC Rosseti Lenenergo, has completed the installation of the first three ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations at regional gas stations. This milestone was disclosed by the network’s press service.

Vitaly Polzik, who heads Gazprom Neft’s Business Development Department, highlighted the strong prospects for the electric transport market, driven by a broadened product lineup, improved vehicle availability, and the advancing charging infrastructure. He noted that the team, with a strong presence in Moscow and St. Petersburg and along major highways, is actively planning further expansion in the electric infrastructure and services for electric mobility. He added that next year the company intends to repeat the high speed station project and explore different formats to create electric charging hubs. These will include charging modules at gas stations and standalone charging stations in public spaces.

Dmitry Yalov, Deputy Head of the Government of the Leningrad Region and Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development and Investment Activities, remarked that car ownership among tourists is rising and residents are increasingly adopting electric vehicles while high transit interregional movement continues. He emphasized the importance of strong transport infrastructure and announced plans to continue the project with the goal of establishing 68 fast charging stations within three years.

Company representatives from Gazprom Neft stated that the installed charging stations deliver 150 kW of power, a significant upgrade over earlier models. Charging a vehicle typically takes 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the battery. The new Russian-made equipment supports simultaneous charging of three vehicles and is compatible with all types of electric cars.

As part of the federal program Electric Car and Hydrogen Car, new charging stations were installed at a gas station in Priozersk (Leningradskoe shosse, 84) and at two gas stations in the village of Sinyavino, including the Mirror facility at kilometer 46 of the Kola highway and the Murmansk highway.
