APEC member economies have signaled a clear commitment to keeping markets open and reducing disturbances in goods supply chains. The final communique from the leaders’ summit underscores a shared intent to bolster business resilience by crafting safe, efficient, sustainable, and openly connected supply chains for goods across the region.

A central pledge is the full rollout of the food security roadmap by 2030. The participating heads of delegation stated that advancing food security will drive modern, resilient, and sustainable agriculture–food systems, ensuring reliable access to safe and affordable food across member economies.

From the Russian delegation, officials highlighted new North–South and East–West transport initiatives that aim to improve regional connectivity. This plan aligns with broader goals to modernize infrastructure and reduce logistical bottlenecks that affect the movement of goods within the Asia-Pacific and beyond.

In remarks from the summit, the Deputy Head of the Russian Government, who led the Russian team, noted interactions with counterparts from the United States. The U.S. side welcomed the Russian delegation’s participation, and the final declaration reportedly reflects a balanced approach that acknowledges differing perspectives while advancing shared trade and policy objectives.
