Alfa-Bank announced its involvement in a consumer loan program designed to help individuals purchase Moskvich vehicles, according to the bank’s press service. The move aims to broaden the bank’s loan portfolio while presenting customers with appealing options to acquire modern Moskvich 3 cars. This strategic collaboration positions Alfa-Bank as a key partner in expanding affordable financing for popular city cars.
Sergey Litvinenko, who leads Alfa-Bank’s car loan development department, stated that joint efforts with partner institutions will enable broader access to auto lending and unlock competitive terms for buyers. The bank notes that such cooperation can lead to more favorable financing choices and a more robust, diversified lending lineup for customers seeking practical, everyday mobility solutions.
The program sets a minimum down payment at 15% of the vehicle’s value, with loan terms extending up to eight years. This structure is designed to reduce monthly payments while keeping total borrowing costs manageable for a wide range of borrowers who want a Moskvich 3 crossover without a heavy upfront burden.
In addition to Alfa-Bank’s participation, Dmitry Pronin, General Director of Moskvich, described the financial proposals as tools to help lower interest rates and reduce monthly obligations for buyers. The collaboration with multiple banks creates a slate of options that can accommodate varying financial situations, ensuring more families can access a new Moskvich 3 on terms that fit their budgets.
City leadership has signaled support for the revival of Moskvich production. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that production would resume in mid-May 2022, with assembly taking place at the Renault facility that has been incorporated into the city’s balance. This development underscores the government’s active role in stabilizing the auto industry and promoting domestic manufacturing capacity within the region.
Previously, the Moskvich lineup expanded to include the electric crossover Moskvich 3e, which joined the fleet of the State Traffic Inspectorate in the Moscow region. Through the first five months of 2023, sales of the Moskvich 3e reached 77 units, reflecting growing interest in electric city crossovers and the expanding role of Moskvich in the regional automotive market. The model represents a broader shift toward electrified urban mobility, aligning with broader policy goals and consumer demand for efficient, low-emission transportation options.
