The airline’s press service indicates that Aeroflot plans to expand its autumn-winter schedule by about 10 percent and raise transport capacity by around 15 percent. The move comes amid ongoing engine-related challenges faced by a rival carrier, S7 Airlines, and is presented as a strategic adjustment to keep routes steady and reliable for passengers across North America and Canada.
Earlier reporting indicated that S7 Airlines anticipated trimming its autumn-winter timetable by roughly 10 to 15 percent compared with the previous year due to service constraints on the Airbus A320 and A321neo families. This context helps explain Aeroflot’s commitment to growing its own network while maintaining service quality for travelers in the region.
In the upcoming season, Aeroflot projects offering service to 190 destinations, with the timetable running from the end of October to late March. The airline will operate 114 of these destinations directly, while the remaining routes will be served by Rossiya Airlines, which operates under the Aeroflot group umbrella.
New regular international services are slated for the autumn-winter period, including Moscow to Mauritius and Moscow to Shymkent. Additional routes include St. Petersburg to Hurghada and St. Petersburg to Sharm El Sheikh, with flights from St. Petersburg to Dubai via Phuket, and from Ekaterinburg to Phuket, as well as Kazan, Novosibirsk, and Yekaterinburg to popular destinations.
Other proposed international additions feature Moscow to Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and Havana, while services from St. Petersburg to Moscow Domodedovo Airport are scheduled to be added to the program.
Aeroflot also plans to increase the frequency of flights from Moscow toDubai, Bangkok, Phuket, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Male, Colombo, and Mahe. In the winter season, the carrier will continue direct flight programs from various Russian cities to well-known resort hubs in the south. Direct services from Sochi will resume or continue from Samara, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Yekaterinburg, and Ufa, linking to Sochi and Mineralnye Vody. Rossiya Airlines will operate a similar pattern of services from St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk to Sochi and Mineralnye Vody, ensuring expanded connectivity for travelers in North America and beyond.
