Ukrainian authorities will reduce the state budget deficit from $ 5 billion to $ 3 billion per month in 2023. This was expressed by the country’s Prime Minister, Denys Shmygal, transmits Interfax.
“We understand that the government budget deficit should be about $3 billion a month,” Shmyhal said.
According to him, in 2022 international support helps to cover up to 40% of Ukraine’s budget expenditures. At the same time, a loan of 5 billion dollars will be received from the European Union in September, and in October it will already be in the form of a grant of 3 billion dollars.
He added that he had previously discussed with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen how this year should end and funding opportunities for the next year.
