Russian company Gazprom announced on its Telegram channel that since the beginning of 2022, it has reduced Russian gas supplies to the markets of EU countries by 48%.
According to the company, this figure was 49% when the UK was taken into account.
Earlier, Gazprom announced the suspension of gas transit through the Nord Stream pipeline. The company announced this when damage was revealed during repair work on the last working gas compressor unit of the Portovaya compressor station. Gazprom said that the work was carried out together with Siemens representatives.
The shutdown of Nord Stream deprived European countries of 33 million cubic meters of gas per day and, accordingly, one billion cubic meters per month. Gas deliveries through this pipeline have been gradually decreasing since mid-June when new Canadian sanctions went into effect. hit Russian oil and gas and chemical industries, including repair of Nord Stream turbines.
