12 new resorts may appear in the Far East and relevant bids will be created as early as 2022. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). transmits TASS.
“On behalf of the Prime Minister, we are working on a federal tourism interregional spatial planning plan, primarily called the Far East. Based on the results of this study, proposals for town planning documents will be created this year and 12 resorts will be created,” Chernyshenko said.
According to him, preliminary calculations of the Russian government show that by 2030 the flow of domestic tourists in the country will reach 140 million trips per year. At the same time, 462 billion rubles will be allocated from the budget as an investment in the 2023-2030 period.
He added that in 2020, Russian tourism is financed by 11 billion rubles. In 2022, this figure reached 75 billion rubles. At the same time, these numbers will only grow.
