The Finnish government will announce emergency financing for energy companies in the coming hours to stabilize the electricity market. This has been reported Helsingin Sanomat.
“Today, the government will announce billions of euros in emergency funds to stabilize the electricity market,” the statement said.
It was noted that the government will meet in the Parliament at 16:00 to discuss this issue and will announce its decision after the negotiations.
The publication added that there were concerns about a sharp rise in electricity prices at the start of currency trading on the morning of September 5. After that, energy companies may need hundreds of millions or billions of euros in additional financing to provide supply, according to the newspaper.
