The European Union thinks of the likelihood of introducing Boeing planes if negotiations against Washington and tariffs against European goods fail. This was reported by the British newspaper Financial times Reference to resources.
According to two FT sources, the European Commission is discussing the inclusion of civilian aircraft in the US annual import list of approximately 100 billion €.
Measures will only come into force if the EU does not make enough progress in reducing US tariffs. A similar measure should be approved by most states – association members.
On April 2, US President Donald Trump brought an additional 20% tariff for almost all exports from the EU. A week later, Trump reduced to 10% to 90 days to give time for negotiations.
